About Us

Salem Internet, Inc. is locally owned by Rick and Kathy Meador. Their youngest son Daniel works with them. SII was organized November of 2006 to provide quality wireless internet to customers in the Salem and surrounding areas. Then in December of 2022 cell Internet was introduced. The Cell Internet allows SII to offer quality Internet services outside their original geographic area. VoIP phone service was added in March of 2023 to offer and alternative to the existing phone lines being abandoned.

Salem Internet, Inc. was organized and holds to the its roots in the Christian faith. If it was not for God opening doors none of this would be possible. We strive to treat every customer, vendor and prospective customer the same way we would want to be treated. We strive to build relationships with our customers not just provide a service.

Rick has lived in the Salem, IL area all of his life. attended Salem public schools and graduated from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale with a bachelors degree in Ag Business Economics. He spent over 20 years in the finance field working for various banks before starting Salem Internet, Inc. He is customer oriented emphasizing in customer service.

Kathy has lived in various communities in Southern Illinois. Most of her working life has been a bookkeeper for her father’s aviation businesses. Kathy is also very customer oriented.

Daniel has lived in Salem, IL all of his life. He is Rick and Kathy’s youngest son. He received his Bachelors Degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in Information Systems Technology. He is very knowledgeable in wired and wireless networking. He keeps the network for Internet and VoIP services working.
